Three common mistakes when taking the CHAT Assessment

Did you read your results, and they didn’t quite resonate with you? Here is what might have happened:

  1. You read the report, and the top half is spot on! The second half, however, completely misses the mark. You may have answered the third question incorrectly. While the first two questions ask for your favorite and second favorite answer, the third asks for your least favorite. Some people incorrectly anticipate where the next question is going and think it is going in order. This is why the top half of the report is correct and the bottom isn’t.

  2. The report hardly resonates with you. The assessment is designed to be done quickly, following the gut instinct. If your assessment took over 60 seconds, you may have gotten in your head and started analyzing the questions. Or you decided that even though you love this sentence, there was one word that you didn’t like, so you threw that selection to the bottom.

  3. Most of the report resonates with you, but there is a sentence or phrase you don’t feel reflects you. This usually happens when the report shares how other communication styles can perceive you. Example: Someone took the assessment and is Primary Action Communication Style. The report says others can perceive you as loud and assertive. That doesn’t mean you are; it is how other communication styles may experience you.

If you need further clarification on your report, book a 15-minute consultation.

Remember, you already have all four communication styles; none is more important than any other. We need you exactly the way you are.
